Talked about health benefits of namaz

She explained that the backlash started after she posted an Instagram reel on March 25 where she talked about the health benefits of namaz and in the video she said that the practice can act like a full-body exercise and may also help with mental health and digestion.

Faced backlash & trolling

After the reel went viral reactions were mixed while some people supported her views others criticised her and questioned why she did not talk about Hindu practices like Surya Namaskar and some users also shared her old video where she had said that wearing traditional clothes and doing ‘pooja’ does not define ‘sanskar’ and that kindness matters more.

Addresses the trolls

Addressing the trolling Thapar said she has been facing abuse for nearly three weeks and she also claimed that some people used offensive language against her and her mother “I left home early in the morning and made this video because I feel silence is not always right and if someone is disrespected we should speak up” she said in her message.

Clarifies her stance

She added that she is a healthcare professional and has earlier shared content on the health benefits of Hindu practices as well including yoga and talking about the issue more broadly Thapar said that people should raise their voices if something wrong happens especially in cases related to basic human rights or disrespect.

“You’ll get your Karma”

She also questioned why people often stay silent when women are targeted online and said that respect should be a key part of any religion and warns that every action a person makes it looked over by God and asserts that the trollers will get their Karma soon.
