Former WWE Champion Edge finally returned to the WWE after being absent from the ring from October last from Extreme Rules when the Judgement Day assaulted him. Edge entered the ring at number 24 and eliminated The Judgement Day which included Fin Balor and Damien Priest. However, Judgement Day yet again sued Edge when they returned to the ring to eliminate Edge. Interestingly, the crowd erupted when Beth Pheonix attacked Rhea Ripley who attacked Edge from behind.

2023 Royal Rumble Surprise: Booker T returns to WWE, enters at number 21
Before Edge, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T returned to the ring when he officially participated in the 2023 Royal Rumble match at number 21. Booker T who was part of pre-show entered the ring with a huge roar by the crowd. However, Booker was eliminated by Intercontinental champion Guther. Apart from this, Seth Rollins just eliminated Bobby Lashley, moments after the Almighty took out his rival Brock Lesnar. First the Beast and now Lashley, two of the favourites to wint he Rumble, have already been elimiated. Sheamus and Gunther, who entered at No. 1 and 2 respectively, are still in.
