Indian golfer Aditi Ashok back in contention in Tokyo after surprise Olympics in Rio

Having played the Olympics once definitely gets you more prepared, you're not as overawed by it

Aditi Ashok’s life was changed forever in 2016 Rio with the back-to-back rounds of 68 rounds at the Olympic Golf Club.

At the 2016 Rio Olympics, she went to go on to tie for 41st and her place was among the best players of golf on the stage.

On Wednesday, Ashok said, “A lot of people were trying to figure out what golf was so that they could understand how I was playing and if I had a chance to win a medal.” She further added, “For the next six months to a year everybody remembered and recognized me from the Olympics. Even though I had won like three European Tour events after that, people still remembered me as the girl who did well at the Olympics.”

She is doing great in the Olympics and booked the second spot in the first round 67 of the Olympics and took a shot off the lead. The attention which will come to her will not be shocking.

Aditi said, “Having played the Olympics once definitely gets you more prepared, you're not as overawed by it." She further stated, "I mean it's still the Olympics, it's still really exciting, but, yeah, definitely more prepared for this one."
