Team India is currently in Ahmedabad engaged in a bilateral series against England in a biosecure bubble as part of the protocols. Some of the players have been in bio-bubble for almost six months now as they have been travelling and shifting from one bubble to another, first for the IPL in the UAE, then to Australia and now at home for the England series.
Thus, the Hyatt Regency hotel in Ahmedabad and its staff have taken it upon themselves to make the cricketers and their families feel at home, despite being away from their homes.
Special nameplates for the cricketers have been arranged by the hotel to put outside their rooms with their and their families names, including children. The idea is to give them a feeling of home instead of Room No. New parents Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have got a personalised nameplate for Vamika, their two-month-old daughter and an image of the same is doing rounds on social media.

The photo features Virat’s hotel room entrance, with a nameplate in hues of blue coloured and ‘Home Sweet Home’ written on top of it. The family name can be seen in the order of Vamika, Anushka and Virat, which shows that the couple’s little princess is important to them and will always come first. Not just the nameplates, the rooms have personalised cushions, the key cards have local designs on them featuring textiles of the state.
To the uninformed, Virat and Anushka had welcomed their first child on January 11 this year and recently, the couple had celebrated two months with their baby girl with a beautiful rainbow cake. Giving a glimpse of the celebration, the Jab Tak Hai Jaan actress had shared a picture of the rainbow cake which had blue and was covered with multicoloured stars. The new mommy had captioned the image as, “Happy 2 months to us.”
