Arjun Rampal is counted among the ace actors of Bollywood. However, for the past few months, the actor has been the center of social media criticism after his name popped out in drugs case linked to Sushant Singh Rajput. Although the NCB has not given any clean chit to the actor, still Arjun claims that the anti-drug agency had summoned him due to confusion of names.
Arjun on the occasion of New Year also broke his silence on the social media stories and various speculative stories by the media. He had written in his official statement, "I would like to assure each and every one of you that I am well aware of my responsibility as a celebrity, a father and a citizen of a country I love dearly that I have never been on the wrong side of the law. You all have nothing to fear or speculate as I have done nothing wrong. I love you all and going forward we shall only spread love and peace together. There is no room for any negativity in our space."
Now, Arjun has broken his silence on the untimely demise of Sushant Singh Rajput. In an interview when asked about the Sushant, Arjun said, "Sushant, I didn’t know well but had met him a few times, every time, he was so charming, warm, gentle and polite with an infectious boyish smile. Was stunned when I heard the news. Couldn’t have ever imagined him to be going through such kind of sadness. They all (Irrfan, Rishi, Sushant) were very special souls. May God give their families all the strength to cope."
On being asked about social media trolling Arjun said, "Ignore, just by someone barking shit, doesn’t make it the truth."
