Arshi Khan reveals her family might CALL OFF her engagement to Afghan cricketer after Taliban's takeover

Arshi Khan, a competitor on 'Bigg Boss 14,' has never shied away from expressing her thoughts and has been chastised for her provocative statements. As the world watches the horror unfold in Afghanistan during the Taliban's takeover, Arshi revealed in a recent interview that she was about to marry an Afghan cricketer chosen by her father.

“In the month of October, I was going to marry an Afghanistan cricketer. My father chosen him. We cancelled the engagement when the Taliban gained control of Afghanistan,” Arshi told True Scoop.

They are also on speaking terms, according to Arshi. "He was the son of a friend of my father's. So now we're on speaking terms and are friends, but I'm happy and satisfied. Now I'm confident I'll meet my soul mate in an Indian man.”

Arshi also discloses that she has Afghan ancestors. “My family is from the Yusuf Zaheer Pathan ethnic tribe, and I am an Afghani Pathan. My grandpa came to Bhopal from Afghanistan and worked as a jailer. "My roots are in Afghanistan, but I was born in India," she explained.
When Arshi Khan was four years old, she and her family migrated to India from Afghanistan.

Arshi was a participant on ‘Bigg Boss 11' and returned as a challenger for season 14 of the show. She has also participated in reality programmes and music videos, as well as TV shows such as "Savitri Devi College & Hospital," "Vish," and "Ishq Mein Marjawan." She's also appeared in web series such as ‘Raat Ki Rani Begum Jaan’ and ‘The Evil Desires’.
