An auto-rickshaw carrying school students rammed into a tempo on Tuesday in the Ferozepur district of Punjab. According to reports, the vehicle was carrying 8-9 school going children who were rescued safe and sound after the road accident.
According to sources, the autorickshaw driver said that a tempo unexpectedly overtook their vehicle, causing it to overturn and be crushed by tempo. The tempo driver, on the other hand,
claims that it was not his fault and that rickshaw hit the vehicle from behind.
According to sources, all of the students in the vehicle were girls who were on their way to school when the accident occurred. The auto-driver was also uninjured in the incident.
According to sources, the tempo has been seized by police and the matter is being investigated.
The road was cleared after the auto was recovered from under the tempo. The traffic has been resumed.
