Post numerous fake news WIPRO Chairman donating Rs 50,000 crore to India to fight the pandemic, finally, Azim Premji has decided to donate a whopping amount of Rs 1125 crore.
As per reports, Wipro Ltd, Wipro Enterprises Ltd and Azim Premji Foundation on Wednesday have together committed Rs 1125 Crore towards tackling the unprecedented health and humanitarian crisis arising from #COVID19 pandemic outbreak.
A few days ago, news broke out that Azim Premji had donated Rs 50,000 Crore to fight coronavirus. However, WIPRO later clarified that news reports and social media posts of Founder Azim Premji donating Rs 50,000 crore are misleading as the charitable contribution was made in March 2019.
