However, decades later, he makes a comeback in the cockpit after being invited by a former teammate Ruben Cervantes to drive for a struggling team called APXGP (Apex Grand Prix). The film portrays the struggle of Sonny Hayes to survive in a new Formula1 world where speed is just one part of the game.
Something that makes this film the centre of attention globally is not just the unique theme of F1 racing but it is the style of filming and directing that makes it special and unique. This movie isn’t a CGI-heavy fantasy, neither does it heavily indulge green-screen or VFX, instead, the originality is maintained in the film by shooting most of the scenes in actual race weekends. The crew filmed live at Silverstone, Monaco, Spa, and the Mexican Grand Prix, while Pitt shot during actual race weekends.
