Recently, BharatPe-Salary row erupted when an employee of the company slammed CEO Suhail Sameer for not playing their salary of March on LinkedIn. The BharatPe-Salary row turned ugly when the company's former Managing Director Ashneer Grover commented and marked it to Sameer and Head of Financial Control Hersimran Kaur. As a result, BharatPe CEO Sameer Suhail replied to the LinkedIn post stating that Ashneer Grover has stolen all the money of the firm and therefore they are unable to give them their salary.

BharatPe-Salary Row and how it started?

Recently, BharatPe's associate Karan Sarki on Linkedin had raised the issue of the sacking of old staff and non-payment of salaries. "We haven't received our salary for March month yet despite following so many times on email and visiting the office. All the old admin staff of BharatPe has been terminated by you without giving any reason and their salaries have not been paid. We were with BharatPe ever since the Company started and now we are nowhere because of your internal politics," Sarki wrote. The post further alleged that employees have been spending their own money for the company's petty expenses and bills have not been reimbursed since December.

"All the staff of BharatPe is enjoying office paid trip to Goa and we engraved employees are fighting for their salaries and job. What kind of leaders you are," Sarki added.

However, BharatPe denied the accusations and also issued an official statement over the non-payment of salaries.  "BharatPe strongly denies any social media comments which suggest that the company has not paid salaries to its employees. All the employees of the company have been paid their March salary in full. As per the company policy, employees serving their notice period will receive their full and final settlement amount in the due course as per company policy," the company said in a statement.

BharatPe CEO Suhail Sameer apologies to employees over his remark 'Ashneer Grove stole all the money'

After Suhail Sameer accused Ashneer Grove stole all the money of BharatPe in the comment section of the employee, he was criticised severely for his insensitive remarks. Following that Suhail issued a public apology, however, he did not mention Ashneer Grover in it. He wrote, "Friends - I apologise to have irked many of you. In hindsight, it was out of line. We are already working on past employees' full and final being paid out. My comment was a reaction to a particular statement, not the post. But I accept the mistake. I request you to also have patience, and refrain from building a story based on a false narrative."

Ashneer Grover sends a letter to BharatPe demanding action against Suhail Sameer & chairman Rajnish Kumar

After Ashneer Grover was accused of stealing the company's money, the Co-Founder and former Managing Director wrote to BharatPe's Board of Directors to take strict action against CEO Suhail Sameer and Chairman Rajnish Kumar. As per Economic Times, Ashneer in his missive alleged that Sameer was under the influence of alcohol in Goa when he accused him of stealing the company's money and therefore demanded the Board of Directors to send him on indefinite 'leave of absence'.

“As a board under the chairmanship of Rajnish Kumar has claimed to be the epitome of corporate governance, I would want to ask what action is the board going to take against Suhail Sameer? Going by precedents and self-proclaimed high standards of this board, the CEO should be immediately served a show-cause notice for his despicable public behaviour and immediately put on leave of absence to manage the damage on the brand of the company,” states Grover’s mail.
