Jullundhar Gymkhana Club’s elections are
going to take place on 19th December this year. The two groups namely Achievers
and The Progressive will be contesting elections for the post of Secretary,
Joint Secretary, Vice-President and Treasurer.
On Wednesday, the Achievers group visited
Baba Murad Shah in the morning to offer prayers and seek blessings. After that,
they visited Jullundhar Gymkhana Club and filed their nominations for the
upcoming elections.
The last date to file nominations is 10th
December. If anyone wants to withdraw their names can do that till 12th
December. The results of the elections will be announced on 19th December.
Prominent personalities from Jalandhar city
came to support them. In their presence, the Achievers group filed their nominations.
Tarun Sikka has filed a nomination for the post of Honorary Secretary. While Amit
Kukreja and SPS Virk, are competing in the elections for the post of Junior
Vice President and Treasurer respectively.
Meanwhile, Saurabh Khullar who won elections
last year, from the Progressive group for the post of Joint Secretary, has
again nominated his name for the same post. But this time there’s a little
change, he has filed his nomination from the Achievers group.
Apart from these four candidates, the Achievers
group has announced the names of 11 executive members, which include Dr.
Naresh Batla, Mr Harpreet Singh (Goldy), Mr. Nitin Behl, Mr. Atul Talwar, Mr.
Mohinder Singh and among others.
