Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday held a review meeting with the District Magistrates amid the second disastrous wave of Covid-19. In the meeting, PM Modi has lauded the efforts and the significant role of the field officials to contain the spread of contagious infection in their respective districts.

However, while guiding the DMs to curb the spread of Covid, in a slip of tongue PM Modi, has asked them to ensure the more positive cases than negative.

Shortly after the meeting, a clip of the same was shared by Congress on their micro-blogging site handle to mock the government.

In the video, PM Modi could be heard saying, “Positive caseload must increase rapidly, scale up the testing capacity. These are the things on which we have to emphasize.”

While sharing the video, Congress threw a sharp criticism on Modi government and said, “PM is not only stressing to ensure positive cases but has even set an example by holding massive rallies for West Bengal Assembly Elections campaigning.”

The caption further read, “Whatever goes on within the mind comes invariably on the tongue.”

Notably, after the video went viral, people started ridiculing PM Modi for his inadvertent behavior. One user commented, “Our incompetent PM can not even read properly from the teleprompter.”

Another user wrote, “Modi’s slip of tongue means everything is slipping away. You all should follow the Covid-19 guidelines, do not expect anything from the government."
