Following a raid on a high profile party on a cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai by the Narcotics Control Bureau or NCB, at least 10 people have been detained, sources said. As per reports, the agency has recovered banned substances like cocaine, ganja, MD and other intoxicants from the cruise ship on Saturday.

Covert as passengers, the NCB team boarded the ship after they were tipped, sources said.

The ship raided was named ‘Cordelia the Impress' and the operation lasted for several hours.

Those arrested have been brought back to Mumbai on Sunday, the agency team said, adding that the party began after the ship left from Mumbai and when it was at sea.

The NCB zonal director, Sameer Wankhede told the media that so far no arrests have been made in the case.

“We have intercepted some persons. The probe is underway. Drugs have been recovered. We are investigating 8-10 persons.”

When asked if they have also encountered any celebrity at the party, Wankhede said, “I can't comment on it.”

Though no names have come up yet, the NCB officials were heard saying that prominent Bollywood celebrity’s children are being investigated in link with the raid.

The directorate of revenue intelligence had seized around 3,000kg of heroin at Gujarat's Mundra port last month and about 37 kg of the narcotic drug were recovered including cocaine and other contraband substances from Delhi and Noida.

The entry fee for the cruise on which the drugs party was happening was around 60 thousand rupees to 5 lakh rupees. Around 600 high profile people were said to be present during the party while the capacity of this world-class cruise is about 1800 people. All these big high profile people were invited to this party through Instagram and other social media platforms. Invitations were also sent to some people through a kit by post.
