Nupur Sharma takes back her comment on Prophet Muhammad

Coming back to Nupur Sharma's controversy on Prophet Muhammed, the former BJP leader issued an apology and stated, "It was never my intention to hurt anyone’s religious feelings." Furthermore, Sharma said there are certain things from Islamic religious books that could be mocked by people while attending a TV debate after the ”shivling’ found inside ‘ the Gaynvapi mosque. According to Sharma, Muslims are mocking the Hind faith by calling ”shivling” a fountain.

Nupur Sharma took back her comment after BJP expelled her from the party. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), based in the Saudi city of Jeddah, condemned the remarks on Prophet Mohammad by BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma, saying it "came in the context of "increasing hatred of Islam in India and mistreatment against Muslims".
