Covid positive pregnant woman from Himachal had to live in Taxi after landlord refused to let them in

A COVID-19 positive lady from Mandi region in Himachal Pradesh had to stay inside a taxi for two days alongside her husband and two-year-old child after her landlord refused to let them enter the house.

A COVID-19 positive lady from Mandi region in Himachal Pradesh had to stay inside a taxi for two days alongside her husband and two-year-old child after her landlord refused to let them enter the house. The lady along with her  husband, Parsaram, who is a cab driver in Karsog valley had gone to Shimla for a routine check up to a hospital and during the test, the lady was discovered COVID positive. As the woman had only mild symptoms she was advised to stay at home in isolation and the family was asked to monitor her condition regularly.

After returning back to their rented home in Karsog, Parasram shared everything with his landlord, following which the landowner, refused the family to enter their home and asked them to shift somewhere else.

And, as nobody was prepared to come forward and lay some assistance to Parasram in this troublesome hour, he alongside his pregnant wife and 2 year old child had to sleep inside his taxi, not just for one day but for two days.

Following two days, Parsaram sort one or the other way to look for help from DSP Geetanjali Thakur. Hearing his experience, the DSP rushed to Parasram's assistance immediately, she addressed the landlord who later permitted them to go into the house. The DSP then made proper food arrangements for the poor family.

Amid the covid 19 crisis where everyone is facing a hard time it becomes a moral duty of every citizen to help each other and not single out the ones who have fallen prey to the virus.
