She wrote, "To paraphrase Elizabeth Stone, To have a child is todecide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.” Thesewords perfectly exemplify Vaibhav & my feelings right now. Our heartbeat,our son Avyaan Azaad Rekhi was born on May 14th. Having arrived early, ourlittle miracle has since then been cared for by tireless nurses and doctors inthe Neonatal ICU."
"Asudden appendectomy during my pregnancy and a subsequent and very severebacterial infection could have led to sepsis and proven to be life threatening.Thankfully, the timely care and intervention by our doctor ensured the safebirth of our baby via an emergency C-section".

Currently,their son is being taken care by the medical staff of Neonatal hospital. Diaand Vaibhav are eagerly waiting to bring their son back at home.
Dia andVaibhav got married in an intimate ceremony at her Mumbai home in February. Diawas previously married to Sahil Sangha and Vaibhav has a daughter named Samairafrom his ex-wife Sunaina.
