While making his upcoming directorial debut, 'Antim: The Final Truth,' Mahesh Manjrekar was diagnosed with cancer. Surprisingly, despite his condition, the filmmaker persisted to shoot the picture. As he came for the trailer presentation of his film, which stars Aayush Sharma, Salman Khan spoke highly of the filmmaker and how his passion for filmmaking motivated him to work even through difficult times.

"Salman stated," "He hadn't informed us previously. He got himself operated as soon as he completed a portion of the shoot.”

He said, "I was fortunate in that the chemotherapy had no effect on me. During the shoot, I was through chemotherapy. Later on, I had surgery. I was motivated by my enthusiasm for my work. It didn't surprise me when I found out I had cancer. I know a lot of folks who have cancer and have fought and survived it.”
As the trailer for the film was premiered at a multiplex in Mumbai, Salman predicted that good times will return to cinema theatres. "There is no substitute for a large screen. Did you see the chairs moving to the beat of the music? As you can see, tiny phones will never be a viable substitute for the cinema hall experience."
