Yesteryear actress Dimple Kapadia has had an exceptional career in the film industry. She was just 16 when she got married to then superstar of Hindi cinema Rajesh Khanna in 1973, who was 15 years older than her.
From their marriage, they had two daughters, Twinkle Khanna and Rinke Khanna. Twinkle herself has acted in several films and is married to Akshay Kumar.
Despite getting married after liking each other, the relationship between Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia suffered troubles. Rumours say that Rajesh didn't want Dimple to continue to work in films and that created rift between the two.
The couple soon separated and there were reports of a growing bond between simple and Sunny Deol.
According to reports, even though they loved each other, Sunny didn't want to divorce his wife. Dimple was upset over Sunny's decision and therefore, Dimple also didn't divorce her husband Rajesh Khanna, despite living separately.

Dimple and Sunny have given several hit films like Arjun, Manzil-Manzil, Aag Ka Gola, Gunah and Narsimha.
It was during the time of these films that reports of them being in love emerged surfacing in the industry. However, they never confessed this in public and it was Amrita Singh, who was Sunny Deol's ex-girlfriend, who had confirmed that Dimple and Sunny were in a relationship.
In an interview, Amrita had said that Dimple had her cake and was eating it too. She added that she had nothing to lose and most importantly, she's got her guy where she wants him.
“So what if it's not heading anywhere? When you've already lived a life, you are happy with a relationship that's a status quo," Amrita had said back then.
Rumours also suggest that Dimple and Sunny were so close that her daughters started addressing Sunny as 'Chote Papa'.
In 2009, when Dimple's sister Simple died, Sunny was beside her consoling her.
Videos of both actors being together on a train in London a few years ago had also gone viral.
