Drone attack and firing reported in Jalandhar’s Suranassi; Army on High Alert

A major development has been reported from Jalandhar as there has been a drone attack in the Suranassi area. 

According to the sources, Turkish drones have been spotted in the area, which has also tried to fire shots, even though there has not been any heavy damage. Army personnel and Jalandhar police have reached the location. 

As is known, a ceasefire was announced between India and Pakistan, but still, there is danger in the border district of Punjab.

The authorities of Jalandhar switched off the lights following this attack and asked the public to remain indoors and stay calm. 

Along with this, a city-wide blackout was reportedly imposed in Amritsar on Monday after sirens were sounded. With this, IndiGo flight 6E-2045 was not permitted to land in Amritsar, and was forced back to Delhi halfway through, because of which there was a panic among the passengers.

Jalandhar DC Himanshu Aggarwal informed that lights near some areas near Suranassi have been switched off. 

Jalandhar DC in a statement said, "As a precautionary measure lights have been switched off in some areas around Suranassi as there have been reports of some drones sightings. We are verifying them. There is no black out as of now. There is nothing to worry as confirmed by officials of Armed forces. They are on regular vigil as always. "
