1.  This one concerns foreign nationals and NRIs (Non Resident Individuals). They have asked by the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) to file information.

This peculiarity has cropped up because the pandemic COVID19 forced people to stay in India.

Double taxation has always been a terror for such individuals, and the government has acted to not allow the pandemic to affect the individuals adversely.

2. PAN-Aadhar linking deadline has already been extended, again due to COVID19. However, this financial year is the deadline.

In other words, if the same is not done by March 31, 2021, then the financial transactions of the person who has not linked PAN and Aadhar Card will be frozen.

The person then can do the same to resume financial transaction functionality.

3. LTC Cash Voucher Scheme submission of bills – Documents need to be submitted to avail tax benefit as promised under LTC Cash Voucher Scheme.

Details like GST amount and GST number are required.

To be eligible, a government salaried employee had to spend three times the amount on any goods and services that charge GST of greater than equal to 12%.

5. The same goes if you are choosing to file income tax under old regime.

6. Vivad Se Vishwas Scheme – Under this dispute resolution scheme, March 31, 2021 is the final deadline, having already been extended from a previous deadline of February 28, 2021.

7. Special Festival Advance Scheme – Again, for government salaried employees, an interest-free advance of Rs 10,000 can be availed. As the name suggests, the same will be recovered by the government from salary.

8. Credit subsidy under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY)’s last date for the benefit of credit subsidy is the end of the financial year.

This scheme provides credit-linked subsidies for middle-income groups. People having annual income between Rs 6 lakh and Rs 18 lakh are eligible.

9. Last date to avail collateral-free loans under Armanirbhar Bharat Package’s Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme.

So, taxpayers get your act together and get the paperwork done if you are eligible and desirous of availing benefits.
