1.  This oneconcerns foreign nationals and NRIs (Non Resident Individuals). They have askedby the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) to file information.

This peculiarity has cropped up because the pandemic COVID19forced people to stay in India.

Double taxation has always been a terror for suchindividuals, and the government has acted to not allow the pandemic to affectthe individuals adversely.

2. PAN-Aadhar linking deadline has already beenextended, again due to COVID19. However, this financial year is the deadline.

In other words, if the same is not done by March 31, 2021,then the financial transactions of the person who has not linked PAN and AadharCard will be frozen.

The person then can do the same to resume financialtransaction functionality.

3. LTC Cash Voucher Scheme submission of bills –Documents need to be submitted to avail tax benefit as promised under LTC CashVoucher Scheme.

Details like GST amount and GST number are required.

To be eligible, a government salaried employee had to spendthree times the amount on any goods and services that charge GST of greaterthan equal to 12%.

4. As usual, the last date for filing on income taxreturns. Otherwise, late filing fee of Rs 10,000 or for small taxpayers Rs1,000 will be charged.

5. The same goes if you are choosing to file incometax under old regime.

6. Vivad Se Vishwas Scheme – Under this disputeresolution scheme, March 31, 2021 is the final deadline, having already beenextended from a previous deadline of February 28, 2021.

7. Special Festival Advance Scheme – Again, forgovernment salaried employees, an interest-free advance of Rs 10,000 can be availed.As the name suggests, the same will be recovered by the government from salary.

8. Credit subsidy under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY)’slast date for the benefit of credit subsidy is the end of the financial year.

This scheme provides credit-linked subsidies formiddle-income groups. People having annual income between Rs 6 lakh and Rs 18lakh are eligible.

9. Last date to avail collateral-free loans under ArmanirbharBharat Package’s Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme.

So, taxpayers get your act together and get the paperworkdone if you are eligible and desirous of availing benefits.
