England clinches the match and the series is now level at 1-1. The series decider is now to be played on the 28th of March. After a good batting display by India, England got off to a good start. The two openers Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow gave England the start they wanted. The first wicket for England fell at the score of 110, back then it looked like India had some hope coming their way.

When Jason Roy got out, it looked as if India had an opening. But Jonny Bairstow on one end was firm and batting with a lot of intent. He got to his century. At the post-match presentation he said that after losing out on the previous game, he was ecstatic to cross the finish line in this one. The thought process was similar to the previous game, as was the game plan. Jason Roy was going all guns blazing at the top, while Ben played some exciting strokes down the ground. At the start of the innings, Indian bowlers bowled well, particularly Bhuvi.

But next came Ben Stokes, he showed intent from the ball 1, unlike the previous match. Ben stokes took the game away from India and there was no hope after that. Stokes scored 99 off just 52 balls. In his innings, Stokes hit 10 towering sixes. At the presentation, he said that the most rewarding element for them as a team was that they did not depart from their core values. They were frustrated with how they played in the chase in the first game, but it was obvious that they were going out with the same determination as they always do. Great chase and he was glad that they were able to get over the line so quickly, particularly since India had set a difficult target to chase. He also felt that the wicket was a better one than the first match.

At the post-match presentation, Virat Kohli told that they had set themselves up for a strong number. If they remained in the game for long periods of time, the chase would have been difficult. England got off to a strong start with the new ball. They had a few hiccups, but overall, that was some of the best hitting you'll ever see. Kohli mentioned that they never stood a chance against Stokes and Bairstow with the power-hitting they showed and did not provide them any chance. The wicket could have settled a little smoother, but that's no excuse, Kohli added. Two days ago, they successfully defended a score. Tonight, there was a lack of execution at times, but they didn't provide us with anything. It's unusual to have such a high strike rate without giving any chances.
