Netflix announced its new project ‘Monica, O My Darling’ today. The film will feature Radhika Apte, Huma Qureshi along Rajkummar Rao and Sikander Kher. The shooting of the film has already begun and the first looks of the stars are revealed.
On July 28, Netflix India shared a montage of the film’s making and wrote, “lights, camera, action! Monica, O My Darling is now filming.”
“O My Darlings, give us a first look! ^ Us to the cast of Monica, O My Darling before they showed us these images”, another tweet by Netflix India read.
Yesterday, Rajkumar Rao on Instagram had shared a picture of himself holding a robot in hand and captioned, “O My Darlings, there's some news coming for you tomorrow.” Today, the actor shared a video and wrote, “We can’t wait for you to see this.”
Meanwhile, actor Huma Qureshi also shared her look from the film on Instagram and wrote, “It’s a crime to look this good! But you gotta do what you gotta do. I’m excited to share the first look of ‘Monica, O My Darling’, coming to @netflix_in!”
“It's Radflix and thrills time again!” wrote Radhika Apte, who has been labelled a Netflix regular. "I'm happy to announce that I'll be back on Netflix yet again with ‘Monica, O My Darling'. I'm ecstatic to be a part of this incredible team.”

The film will be directed by Vasan Bala, who has also directed the 2018 action comedy Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota. This project will be Bala’s third feature. Director Vasan Bala recently directed Harshvardhan Kapoor and Radhika Madan in the Netflix Ray anthology film Spotlight. The film received mixed reviews from critics and the general public.
Besides, the first look of the film’s cast, no other information is revealed yet.
