From the shorter format in white-ball cricket, now the focus of India shifts to One-day Internationals. Beginning 23rd March 2021, India and England will compete in the 50 overs format for 3 matches to establish their supremacy in the One day format of the game.

Both the teams are missing some of their key players. England will be missing Joe Root, who has been rested for the series. An interesting aspect would be seeing who will be taking his place in his absence in the team. Also, Jofra Archer, who was their pick of the fast bowlers in the T20 series and Chris Woakes also rested for the series, the bowling and batting department would take a hit due to these main players missing.

India, on the other hand, have form issues with K.L. Rahul. Virat Kohli has already confirmed that they will be starting the series with the opening pair of Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan, K.L's form would be an area of concern for the Indian team. With Ravindra Jadeja missing in the all-rounder department and Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bhumrah missing in the fast bowling department, India would look to test their bench strength in this series.

A noticeable fact is that India's bench strength has performed exceptionally well in the Test series and T20 series leading them to win tests against Australia in Australia and England at home. With so many positives coming out of the T20 series, India would be eying on Surya Kumar Yadav and other new additions to the team to perform and get the games won.
