Hailey Bieber said that there was a point when she and Justin Bieber, who married in 2018 when she was 21 and he was 24, and dated while she was an adolescent, didn't communicate to one other. "It was truly rather sad when we didn't communicate," Hailey Bieber expressed herself.

"This is a guy who was telling me to my face when we were younger, 'I really do think you might be the person I marry and someone I could picture myself having a family with,' and then I did something that really upset him, and I think it knocked that thought out of his head at that moment."

She didn't go into detail about what she did, only saying it was "extremely immature and stupid."

The time they spent apart was crucial, according to Hailey Bieber, since they both needed to go through certain experiences.

She mentioned that her parents, actor Stephen Baldwin and actress Kennya Baldwin, had been married since they were 19 and were her marriage role models.

When Justin Bieber was going through a mental health crisis, Bieber said she turned to her mother for support.

"I was weeping and calling her and saying, 'I just can't do it.' I'm not going to be able to do this if it's going to be like this forever,' she says "said the model. "She was very calm on the phone, and she said things like, 'It'll pass, and you'll be OK, and he'll be good, and we'll be here for you.’"

"But I also believe I was involved." She went on to say, "I made a decision." "I am certain that I have loved this guy for a long time, and now is not the time to abandon him." That's something I'd never do to him."

Justin Bieber thanked his wife for her patience and talked about how, despite coming from a background where his parents never married, he's always wanted a wife and a family of his own.

During the podcast, he said that this meant he needed to work on himself.

"I realised I needed to go through some major healing in order to get to a position where I could be in a good, meaningful relationship," he said. "I had a lot of trauma and scars."

"I basically made the decision to focus on those things and get well."

The pop singer claimed that seeing that his wife "wasn't going anywhere" and "just continually showing up every day and being there for me" had helped their marriage grow.

"Neither of us was going to be the one to declare, 'I quit,'" she explained. "Neither of us was going to abandon the issue. We were simply like, 'Hey, we chose to fight for this, so we're going to keep fighting through whatever it takes.'"
