Mohammed Shami's bowling captivated everyone's hearts during this match. In three overs, Shami captured three wickets for 15 runs. However, when Shami came in to bowl the 17th over of Scotland's innings, a total of three wickets fell in this over, but Shami's hat-trick was not accomplished.

Shami did not achieve a hat-trick in this over, but the team's hat-trick was well on its way. In reality, Shami clean bowled Callum McLeod on the opening ball, Ishan Kishan ran out Safiyan Sharif on the second ball, and Shami clean bowled Alasdair Evans with a stunning yorker on the third delivery, giving his team three balls in a row. Three wickets were taken. Bumrah wrapped the innings by ratting Mark Watt's leg-stump to become the leading wicket-taker for India in T20Is.

Shami shut all of his critics who were pointing fingers at him following the match against Pakistan with this outstanding effort. After this triumph, Team India's last match will be against Namibia, but the whole world's attention will be focused on the match between New Zealand and Afghanistan.

The win means that India has a higher net run rate than Afghanistan and New Zealand.

Brief scores: Scotland 85 all out (George Munsey 24, Michael Leask 21, Ravindra Jadeja 3/15, Mohammed Shami 3/15) lost to India (KL Rahul 50, Rohit Sharma 30, Bradley Wheal 1/32, Mark Watt 1/16) by eight wickets.
