Boney Kapoor and SS Rajamouli's quarrel have increased due to the clash of 'Maidan' and 'RRR' releasing on Dussehra weekend. While Rajamouli has not reacted to the entire controversy. At the same time, according to the reports, Boney in an interview with a Telugu newspaper criticized Rajamouli and described him as the most unprofessional filmmaker. Not only this, but he has also accused him of talking unnecessarily against his wife Sridevi during his movie Bahubali.
In an interview with a Telugu newspaper, Boney said, "He is an unprofessional filmmaker who does not know how to honor senior film personalities." Boney also went on to explain why his late wife Sridevi refused to play the role of Sivagami in Rajamouli's film 'Bahubali'.
Boney said, "Sridevi liked the script and also gave her input. Rajamouli had messaged me and told me that Sridevi's inputs are very good. However, when Sridevi turned down the film due to low wages, she spoke unnecessarily about him. Sridevi was a big star. How could she be willing to work for less money?"
Why Boney Kapoor Is Upset?
Last week, SS Rajamouli announced that his much-awaited film 'RRR' will be released on October 13 this year on the occasion of Dussehra. While Boney Kapoor has already announced 6 months ago that his Ajay Devgn starrer 'Maidan' will be released on 15 October on Dussehra weekend. Interestingly, in both movies, Ajay Devgn plays the pivotal roles and therefore the clash has more intensified.
In another interview, Boney Kapoor had called Rajamouli 'unethical' and said, "at a time when we should all be coming together to save the movie industry, he (Rajamouli) has gone and done this."
