Subodh Bhati, a Delhi cricketer, made history on Sunday by being the first Indian batsman to hit a double-hundred in a Twenty20 match.
When it comes to T20 cricket, West Indian swashbuckler Chris Gayle owns the record for the greatest individual score. Gayle achieved the feat against the now-defunct Pune Warriors in the 2013 IPL, when he hit an almost implausible 175 not-out in just 66 deliveries.
Aaron Finch, the Australian limited-overs captain, holds the record for the greatest individual score by a batsman in international cricket.
During the 2018 T20I tri-series, Finch completed the feat against Zimbabwe, with Pakistan as the third team. Finch smacked 172 off 76 deliveries, including 16 fours and ten monster sixes.
Subodh Bhati, a 30-year-old cricketer, has played for Delhi in eight First-Class, 24 List-A, and 39 T20 matches, scoring 147, 132, and 120 runs respectively. In FC, List A, and T20 cricket, he has taken 19, 37, and 47 wickets, respectively.
