The first test of the 4 match series between India and England is being played at Chepak Stadium, Chennai. In this match, Nitin Menon and Anil Chaudhary are umpiring. Both of these umpires are Indians and after a long time, it is being seen that both umpires are Indian in a test.

Earlier this happened in February 1994. At that time the Test was played in Ahmedabad between India and Sri Lanka. In the 1994 test match Umpires were Narasimha and VK Ramaswamy. Interestingly, in that match, former India captain Kapil Dev left behind Richard Headley's 431 Test wickets.

Talking of the Paytm Test series of India and England, both teams are in unmatched form. While the Indian team has returned to beat Australia 2-1 on the same ground, on the other hand, England has defeated Sri Lanka unilaterally 2-0 under the captaincy of Joe Root.

Interestingly, Anil Chaudhary umpiring in the international test for the first time. While writing this article, England was batting at 52-0 with Rory Burns at 25 and Dominic Sibley at 25.
