Amid this time of tensions and border conflict between India and Pakistan, the Ferozepur Railway Division stood firm and took commendable steps to ensure that people continue their travel with comfort and safety.

Notably, the Railway officials set up help desks at all the major stations, including Jalandhar Cantt, Jalandhar City, Ferozepur, Ludhiana, and Amritsar. The officials assisted the general public even during this critical time and provided the service for the majority of the day.

Along with the help desk, the Railway Department also launched several special trains to ensure that people are evacuated safely. Accordingly, the trains were launched for stations like Patna, Darbhanga, Delhi, Howrah, and Saharsa, as it is believed that the majority of the people from these cities migrate to Punjab for daily earnings and wages.

During the travel, the people were provided with food and refreshments. Besides this, to avoid inconvenience, the authorities also set up additional UTS and PRS ticket counters at the majority of the stations.

This new development has been closely monitored by the Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Parmdeep Singh Saini, and he has been continuously tracking the movement of these trains.
