IPL 2021: For the first time in the history of IPL, RCB won opening match

The first match of the Indian Premier League was against RCB and MI. The winner of the match was decided at the final ball of the match. This match witnessed the unprecedented victory of RCB in its opening match, and Rohit’s team for the first time lost a match on the land of Chennai.

On the first match of IPL 2021, Kohli’s team defeated Mumbai Indians by 2 wickets. It was the first time in the history of IPL that RCB managed to win their first match of the tournament whereas MI faced the defeat in Chennai for the very first time.

This season for the first time will witness two matches a day even on weekdays, in past seasons; two matches a day were only scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays.

IPL matches will be played only on the grounds of six states of the country, this year no teams will play the game on their home ground. And the season’s finale is scheduled to be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahemdabad. The stadium will evidence the IPL tournament for the first time after the changed name.

Today Chennai’s team CSK will play against Delhi’s team DC at 7:30 in the evening.
