IPL 2022: Virat Kohli pens emotional note for RCB fans after suffering defeat from Rajasthan

Ace cricketer Virat Kohli has finally broken his silence on the heartbreak of RCB fans and penned an emotional note for the '12th Man Army'.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Friday was knocked out of the IPL 2022 tournament after suffering defeat from the Rajasthan Royals in the Qualifier 2. The RCB vs RR Qualifier 2 match took place at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad which ended with the Sanju Samson-led team winning the match and entering into the IPL 2022 final. The dream of RCB and its fans to win an IPL trophy remained unfulfilled yet again. Now, ace cricketer Virat Kohli has finally broken his silence on the heartbreak of RCB fans and penned an emotional note for the '12th Man Army'. 

Virat Kohli Saturday took to his Twitter handle and shared a picture collage of his IPL 2022 stint with the RCB. Sharing the picture, Virat Kohli wrote that in the game of cricket one team wins while the other loses, however, RCB fans have backed the team in the entire tournament as '12th Army Man' which was to be cherished. Furthermore, Virat Kohli expressed his gratitude to the team management. 

"Sometimes you win, and sometimes you don't, but the 12th Man Army, you have been fantastic, always backing us throughout our campaign. You make cricket special. The learning never stops. A big thanks to the management, support staff, and all the people who are part of this amazing franchise. See you next season (SIC)."

Virat Kohli's emotional note for RCB Fans



RCB's performance in the IPL 2022 was a decent one as the team finished 3rd on the points table after getting defeated in the IPL 2022. However, for Virat Kohli, the IPL 2022 turned out to be a disaster as the cricketer did not score runs as per his potential. In 16 matches, Virat Kohli was only able to score a total of 341 runs with a low average of 22.74. In fact, there were matches in which Virat Kohli departed without even opening his account.

The IPL 2022 Final will be played at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium on May 29. Gujarat Titians will lock horns with the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2022 final. Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titians made it into the IPL 2022 final after defeating the Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 1 at the Eden Garden in Kolkata, while the RR won the Qualifuer 2 in Ahmedabad and knocked Royal Challengers Bangalore out of the tournament.
