‘Poverty, No excuse’: Mirabai Chanu relishes homemade food after 2 years, picture goes viral

Yesterday, at 8.21 she had tweeted a photo of her inside her house eating homemade food.

After being heartbroken due to the defeat in 2016 Rio Olympics, the Indian weightlifter Mirabai Chanu has now created history by finally opening the Indian Medal Tally and has brought the silver medal under the 49 kg category. The country is really happy with this victory. She has become a role model for many girls in the country.

Besides that, a picture of her has been viral all over social media in which she is having food with her family members. People are appreciating her and experiencing the phase of poverty and passion. 

The photo was posted by a Twitter user named @gdalminathinks, the tweet is captioned as, “Saikhom Mirabai Chanu, back home in Manipur, after winning Silver Medal at the Tokyo Olympics.  She symbolizes the extraordinary talent, work ethic, and achievement of many ordinary Indians!”

A lot of comments are posted on the same. One wrote, “What a beautiful and glorious journey..!! Truly motivational to every Indian…of every field and profession…!!”

Yesterday, at 8.21 she had tweeted her photo inside her house eating homemade food and she had captioned the photo as, “That smile when you finally eat Ghar ka khana after 2 years.”

Earlier, Mirabai Chanu had also shown her gratitude to everyone else who had supported and showed faith in her. She is really rejoiced to meet her family after 2 years and says that it is beyond words to describe those 2 years. She also thanked her parents for the sacrifices that they had made for her, so that she could reach the position at which she is at present.
