A Chess and Debate competition was organized by the Jalandhar branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in which more than 50 students participated.
Mrs. Veena Marwaha, Mrs. Neetu Sharma and CA Vipul Saboo acted as judges in the debate competition, guided everyone and appreciated all the contestants for their excellent performance.
First of all Professional Chess Competition was conducted under FIDE rules in which everyone performed brilliantly, in which Akshit Tohani and Pranav Bhandari were victorious and Sanya Singla and Harsh Goyal were runner ups.
After this, debate competition was organized on different topics, in which first monologue round and then rebuttal and question answer rounds took place and all participants discussed deeply on various topics.
In a very close contest among the students, Akashdeep Kaur and Nikita emerged victorious and Tanish, Lokesh, Aparna, Raghav were the runners up.
Welcoming everyone, Chairman CA Shashi Bhushan said that Chartered Accountants have expertise in taxation as well as other skills and this program will promote other skills. The Managing Committee of Jalandhar Branch welcomed everyone and honored the winners with trophies. Chairman CA Shashi Bhushan, Executive Member CA Paramjot Singh, Board of Studies member CA Ashwini Jindal were present in this program.
The Program was well conducted and organized by Raghav, Palak, Misha, Tanish, Hardik, Jyotsna etc.
