A verbal spat in Jalandhar’s PPR market turned physical between a drunk man and Police personnel deployed on duty, wherein the former grabbed the IPS officer by his collar as the matter escalated.
The video of the incident that occurred earlier in the evening today has been making rounds on social media and shows a jammed road as the events unfold. The youth in the video can be heard abusing the police officials present on the sight, asking the police to return his phone back.

The matter turned intense, in front of scores of people which can be seen in the visual recording and watching the incident, soon after the man grabbed the IPS officer’s collar after which the police officials and civilians thrashed him to the ground, and the officer retaliated in return and shouted over the man for touching his uniform.

The miscreant disturbed the public mobility in the busy market by parking his SUV vehicle at the center of the busy road in the PPR market, the man was later taken into custody by the police team after the spat.
