After the murder of Akali leader in Mohali, now in Jalandhar, a sensational case of murder of youth with sharp-edged weapons has come to light. The youth was attacked by four-five people and because of the attack the youth fell unconscious on the road and was bleeding. Even then the accused kept ruthlessly hitting him with kicks and swords.
A case has been registered against six accused and it is out that the accused are relatives of Congress leader.

The youth was attacked on Friday and died on Saturday evening. The demised boy is identified as Rohit, who was the only brother of two sisters. After the death of the victim, two videos of the incident have been circulated on the internet.
Father of youth Gurlal Singh told that his 22-year-old son Rohit had gone to the market on Friday to buy medicines. At around 5 pm, when he was buying medicine from Deepak Medical Store located at Ramgarhia Chowk, he was mercilessly attacked by some people.
After people started gathering at the spot, the accused ran away with the weapons. Rohit’s father reached the spot and he was rushed to the government hospital of Jalandhar City and later on doctor’s advice, Rohit was shifted to the private hospital, where he was declared dead on Saturday evening.

The primary police investigation has revealed that Rohit fought with the accused a few days back. Because of this fight, the accused several times tried to kill Rohit. However, now a case has been registered in this matter and an investigation is underway.
Rohit's friend Vijay told that after Rohit was assaulted and injured, he kept asking people for help but no one came forward as they were threatened that action would be taken against them. He also alleged that all the accused are relatives of the Congress leader due to which the police are not taking action.
