Jalandhar's Kabaddi player Simran bravely takes on snatchers, grab their shirts, kicks them off from bike

Two miscreants snatched the purse and were trying to escape.

In Jalandhar on Wednesday, two miscreants snatched the purse from a girl and were trying to escape. The brave girl Simran started chasing them. She grabbed one miscreant from his shirt due to which the three miscreants lost their bike’s balance and fell down. Seeing this, the people around also gathered and caught two accused. The third accused managed to escape.

 

Simrandeep Kaur, a resident of Simran Susash Nagar, who was returning home from her job, told that she works in a gift gallery in Silver Plaza. She was returning home from work at around 9.45 last night. Then 3 youths came on a bike from behind on Mehak Cinema Road and snatched their purse and started running away, Simran chased them and caught them. Police have registered a case against the accused.

 

Simrandeep Kaur said, “I used to participate in running competition during school time. When the miscreants snatched my bag, I protested against him, he did not leave the bag; he dragged it away from the bike. I also did not give up and grabbed one's shirt and pulled it. I also kicked the rear tire of the bike with my feet, due to which they fell down from the bike. Seeing me running, the people around also gathered. After which two accused were arrested. One ran away from there.”

 

“I did not feel scared because if I did not protest today, they would go ahead and target someone else,” added Simran.

This is not the first time when Jalandhar girls have stepped forward to punish the accused. Earlier, 15-year old Kusum caught the robber and later handed him over to the police.
