
In Jalandhar onWednesday, two miscreants snatched the purse from a girl and were trying toescape. The brave girl Simran started chasing them. She grabbed one miscreantfrom his shirt due to which the three miscreants lost their bike’s balance andfell down. Seeing this, the people around also gathered and caught twoaccused. The third accused managed to escape.
Simrandeep Kaur, aresident of Simran Susash Nagar, who was returning home from herjob, told that she works in a gift gallery in Silver Plaza. She wasreturning home from work at around 9.45 last night. Then 3 youths came ona bike from behind on Mehak Cinema Road and snatched their purse and startedrunning away, Simran chased them and caught them. Police have registered acase against the accused.
Simrandeep Kaur said,“I used to participate in running competition during school time. When themiscreants snatched my bag, I protested against him, he did not leave the bag;he dragged it away from the bike. I also did not give up and grabbed one'sshirt and pulled it. I also kicked the rear tire of the bike with my feet,due to which they fell down from the bike. Seeing me running, the peoplearound also gathered. After which two accused were arrested. One ranaway from there.”
“I did not feelscared because if I did not protest today, they would go ahead and targetsomeone else,” added Simran.
This is not the firsttime when Jalandhar girls have stepped forward to punish the accused. Earlier,15-year old Kusum caught the robber and later handed him over to the police.
