After much anticipation, the JioPhone Next is now available in India. Because of its low upfront cost of Rs. 1,999, the new 4G phone developed in collaboration between Jio and Google is hailed as the most affordable smartphone. The company is advertising the newly launched smartphone in India with labels like ‘most affordable’, ’4G Smartphone for everyone’ and ‘Made in India, for
India and but India’. However, there are a few things you must know before you go and make your purchase.
- JioPhone Next has a battery of 3400mAh, not 3500
Reliance has been claiming the phone’s battery to be of 3500mAh. However, the product specification clearly mentions that the smartphone has a battery of 3400mAh. The typical value
mentioned on the battery is also 3400mAh.
- Made in China battery
The company asserts JioPhone Next is Made in India, Made for India and Made by Indians. However, the battery of 4G smartphone is Made in China.
- The new JioPhone Next costs Rs. 6,499 in India. Buyers can also choose the Easy EMI option, which requires them to pay Rs. 1,999 upfront (plus Rs. 501 in processing fees) and then pay the balance in easy EMIs. These EMIs begin at Rs. 300 per month.
- How to buy?
To purchase the device, consumers must visit their nearest Jio Mart digital retailer or register on the website. Users can also register on WhatsApp by sending a 'Hi' to 7018270182
to begin the procedure. A confirmation email will be issued to the customer once the registration is complete. To obtain their JioPhone Next, the customer must go to a nearby JioMart retailer.
