When Kamran Akmal first entered the international scene, he was seen as a promising player for Pakistan cricket. However, due to his prowess as a keeper and for a variety of other reasons, he became a laughing stock all over the Internet over time. Kamran Akmal last appeared for Pakistan against the West Indies in 2017.

It has been almost four years since the Lahore stumper last wore the Pakistan shirt, and at the age of 39, it is highly unlikely that he will be considered for a comeback to the national side by the Pakistan Cricket Board or the team management.
