Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut on Friday arrived with her sister Rangoli Chandel to record statement at Bandra Police Station in Mumbai. On October 17, a case of sedition was registered at the Bandra police station on a court order against both Kangana and Rangoli. The Bollywood actress has been summoned thrice for questioning, but she did not appear because of her brother's marriage. If there is strong evidence against them, they can also be arrested.

A Bollywood casting director and fitness trainer, Sayyed had accused Kangana and Rangoli of defaming the film industry, portraying the people working in it in a bad light with claims of nepotism, drug addiction, communal bias, attempting to drive a wedge between artistes of different communities, calling them murderers, insulting religions, etc, on social media and through public statements.
