A massive development came in farmers protest on Tuesday when Hollywood pop sensation Rihanna came in support of farmers protest and asked the people why no-one is talking about the ongoing protest by peasants in India? Rihanna was responding to the reports and developments of the scrapping of internet services around the border areas where the farmers are sitting on protest.
The farmers are protesting against the new farming bills passed by the Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar during the lockdown phase. Three bills have been passed namely- The Farmers (Empowerment and protection) assurance on price and farm services bill 2020, The Farmers produce trade and commerce (promotion and facilitation) bill 2020, The Essential Commodities (Amendment bill) 2020.
Rihanna took to Twitter and wrote, "why aren’t we talking about this?! #FarmersProtest"
On this Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut repled and called the pop star a fool for talking about the farmers as the protesting people are actually terrorists. Kangana wrote, "No one is talking about it because they are not farmers they are terrorists who are trying to divide India, so that China can take over our vulnerable broken nation and make it a Chinese colony much like USA... Sit down you fool, we are not selling our nation like you dummies."
