Following Hollywood pop-star, Rihanna's tweet supporting farmers on the ongoing protest against the newly passed three farm laws by the Modi government went viral, the cricket fraternity of India came in support of the Indian government and appealed to the people of India to remain united against 'external forces'.
However, it was Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut who slammed the pop-star first and accused her of peddling 'paid tweets'. In a step to unite Indian against the external forces, Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma took to Twitter and assured the people around the world that a solution will be found on the ongoing farmers' protest. Rohit wrote, "India has always been stronger when we all stand together and finding a solution is the need of the hour. Our farmers play an important role in our nation’s well being and I am sure everyone will play their roles to find a solution TOGETHER."
Following that Kangana lashed out at Rohit Sharma and other cricketers for not speaking clearly on the ongoing controversy. Kangana wrote, "Why all these cricketers sounding like dhobi ka kutta na ghar ka na ghat ka, why would farmers be against laws which are revolutionary for their well being. These are terrorists who are causing ruckus ... say that na itna darr lagta hai ?"
