Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega fame Kanika Mann is all thrilled to play grown-up Bondita in Barrister Babu. The popular daily drama runs on Colors TV. The most awaited leap, scheduled to be introducedearlier this year is finally going to take place.
Barrister Babu features Aurra Bhatnagar Badoni and Pravisht Mishra. The show has been in the talks since its inception and has won appreciation for its storyline. The chemistry between Bonditaportrayed by Aurra and Pravisht’s character has also earned praises. The show enjoys a massive viewership.
Kanika is to start shooting in two to three days, however, there will be a promo shoot initially. Moreover, the shooting will start soon after the Maharashtra state-imposed lockdown getslifted. The shoot may start at the end of June or the first week of July.
“The makers of the show are waiting for restrictions to be lifted in Maharashtra to start the shoot with the actors post the leap. The shooting with the new cast might happen in Junelast week or July first week,” a close source revealed.
Besides Kanika, a number of actress were considered for the role. Reem Shiek was approached to portray the role of Bondita. But, she refused saying she wants to be part of a new show, notan ongoing show. After her, actor Ashnoor Kaur was also approached, but she also opted out as she has been preparing for her board exams. Finally, Kanika Mann was finalized to portray the role of Bondita in the show BarristerBabu.
