Late night photo session costs youngsters dear, FIR registered

Police said that curfew is imposed to control the transmission of the deadly virus; therefore, people must adhere to the guidelines and stay inside.

Late night photo session during curfew hours has brought trouble for a group of youngsters in Jalandhar. Although they managed to escape from the spot after seeing the police party, but the Jalandhar police have started looking for them and have registered an FIR against 20 persons for violation of the orders of the district magistrate.

ASI Chain Singh of Jalandhar informed that on Wednesday night he received information that some youths were taking pictures of each other in front of Hotel Red Palace around 11 pm. He said that he immediately rushed to the spot; however, the youngsters managed to escape from there.

He said he saw the group of youngsters there and even managed to see the car number, therefore, a case has been registered against them under section 188 of IPC and police are trying to locate them.

He further said that Jalandhar police are trying to ensure that nobody steps out during curfew hours unless it’s an emergency. He said that the curfew is imposed to control the transmission of the deadly virus; therefore, people must adhere to the guidelines and stay inside.
