The first Test is being played in Chennai between India and England. By the end of the first day's play, England scored 263 for 3 wickets. In the last over of the day (90th), Jaspreet Bumrah LBW to Dominic Sibley. He scored 87 runs. Captain Joe Root returned to an unbeaten pavilion after scoring 128 runs. Root made his 20th century of Test career.

Indian bowlers had to work hard to dismiss England batsmen, however, Joe Root still remained unbeaten. When India was struggling to get wickets and everyone seemed down, it was wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant who was making some strange sounds on the field after almost every shot played by the English batsmen. Amidst many shouting of Pant, one poem by him was caught on the stump mic when Washington Sundar was bowling. 

Pant's voice was caught on stump mic singing, "Mera naam hai Washington, mereko jana hai DC (My name is Washington and I want to go to DC)."
