Amidst various speculations that the Chennai Super Kings franchise might release Mr. IPL (Suresh Raina) from its team, MS Dhoni has put his faith in the most successful batsman of the CSK. When India's former off-spinner Harbhajan Singh announced his contract to end with CSK, speculations went high Suresh Raina will also be released.
The speculations started as both Suresh Raina and Harbhajan pulled their name from IPL 2020. However, it seems that CSK Skipper MS Dhoni has put his faith in Suresh Raina.
In all, CSK has released six players: Piyush Chawla, Kedar Jadhav, M Vijay, Harbhajan Singh, Monu Kumar Singh, and Shane Watson (retired from all cricket). In the absence of Harbhajan, CSK doesn't have a frontline offspinner in their roster.
