A husband and wife attacked the sanitary inspector in Baba Deep Singh Nagar in Muktsar. The husband used a stick to beat the sanitary inspector. The fault of the sanitary inspector was that he had cut the challan after getting dengue larvae. He went to the couple's house to give them the same challan. The police registered a case against the husband and wife after receiving the complaint, and both were taken into custody.

Gurvinder Singh, a sanitary inspector in Baba Deep Singh Nagar, had gone to check for dengue larvae. He cut the challan of this house during that time. The couple at the time refused to sign the challan. Sanitary Inspector Gurvinder Singh then delivered the challan to the man's home once more. After which there was a dispute between the two sides. The husband used a stick to beat the sanitary inspector. The wife was also seen pushing him. This video also went viral by the couple.
The complaint reached the police after the video of the assault went viral, registering a case of disturbance in government duty. A case has been filed by the police under IPC sections 353, 186, and 34 against the accused couple. The couple is currently in the police's custody.
