Amidongoing feud between newly appointed PPCC President Navjot Sidhu and PunjabChief Minister Captain Amrinder Singh, the former host a breakfast at hisresidence in Amritsar for the party MLAs and leaders, who are going toaccompany him to Sri Harmandir Sahib to pay his obeisance after declaring newPresident of the PPCC, here on Wednesday.
Ina tweet, the team Sidhu claimed that over 60 MLAs of the party have alreadyarrived at Sidhu’s residence in Amritsar and after having breakfastthey all will move towards Sri Harmandir Sahib. Meanwhile thousands of Sidhu’ssupporters and Congress party workers have also assembled outside Sidhu’sresidence to accompany the proposed roadshow. Sources claimed that after payingobeisance Sidhu and his party MLA would also visit Jalianwalan Bagh.
Meanwhilereacting to the Captain’s media advisor tweet on Tuesday claiming that Captainwould not meet Sidhu till he tenders a public apology for his derogatory tweetsagainst Captain, MLA Pargat Singh, a close aide of Sidhu said why should heapologize?
“Theissues on which Sidhu’s tweeted were related to the Punjab and Panjabis andwere public issues, which were promised by Captain during the last elections inthe state but failed to fulfill,” he said adding that in that case, it is theCaptain who should apologize to Punjab for not keeping his promises.
