Days after targeting his own government and ChiefMinister Capt Amarinder Singh for delay in justice in the Kotkapura Firing Case,Former Minister and Senior Congress Leader Navjot Singh Sidhu today questionedPunjab DGP Dinkar Gupta for inaction against Bikram Majithia for his allegedinvolvement in the multi-crore drug racket case. .
Taking to Twitter, Navjot Sidhu while sharing a videoclip of the interview of Punjab DGP to a private channel asked “What have youdone about Majithia and what about those who gave political facilitation &protection to set-up Chemical Drug Factory in Punjab?”
Sidhu in the tweet wrote, “To DGP ... What have you doneabout Majithia ? About those who gave political facilitation & protectionto set-up Chemical Drug Factory in Punjab ? What is action taken on Big fishmentioned in STF report sent by Hon High Court to Govt ? Thus today hethreatens to put cases on us”.
It is pertinent to mention here that eradicating drugsand taking action against all those involved in big drug rackets was the toppoll promise of the Captain Amarinder-led-Congress government. Besides, theparty in the past had faced criticism for having failed to take action againstAkali leaders over their alleged involvement.
