Priya Malik, thewrestler who belonged to the category of 73 kgs, won a gold medal at the World WrestlingChampionship which was held in Hungary. She has made India proud at aninternational level by bringing a gold, this ear soothing news was announcedafter the victory of Mirabai Chanu at Tokyo Olympics who won a silver medalyesterday.

State secretary, SaptarshiSarkar tweeted,“Congratulations #Priya_Malik #priyamalik She won GOLD at cadet worldChampionship!”

Film writer anddirector, Anil Ravipudi wrote, “India'swomen power! Flexed biceps Flag of India Congratulations #PriyaMalik on WinningGold medal for our Country in World cadet championship. #wrestling”

Haryana sports andyouth affair minister, Sandeep Singh also took his twitteraccount to congratulate her with a congratulation note and a poster, “congratulationsto the wrestler daughter Priya Malik of Haryana for winning the gold medal inthe 73 kg category of the World Cadet Wrestling Championship in Budapest,Hungary.”

Priya Malik belongsto a Hindu family, she was trained by Anshu Malik. She completed her studiesfrom Chaudhary Bharat Singh Memorial School Nidan. She had also achieved a goldmedal in National School games. She is the first sports person to win a goldmedal in World wrestling Championship and has brought grace and pride to India.
