Haryana’s wrestler Priya Malik wins gold at World Wrestling Championship

Priya Malik, the wrestler who belonged to the category of 73 kgs, won a gold medal at the World Wrestling Championship which was held in Hungary. She has made India proud at an international level by bringing a gold, this ear soothing news was announced after the victory of Mirabai Chanu at Tokyo Olympics who won a silver medal yesterday.

The social media is flooded with the congratulation messages for Priya Malik by various people.

State secretary, Saptarshi Sarkar tweeted, “Congratulations #Priya_Malik #priyamalik She won GOLD at cadet world Championship!”

Film writer and director, Anil Ravipudi wrote, “India's women power! Flexed biceps Flag of India Congratulations #PriyaMalik on Winning Gold medal for our Country in World cadet championship. #wrestling”

Haryana sports and youth affair minister, Sandeep Singh also took his twitter account to congratulate her with a congratulation note and a poster, “congratulations to the wrestler daughter Priya Malik of Haryana for winning the gold medal in the 73 kg category of the World Cadet Wrestling Championship in Budapest, Hungary.”

Priya Malik belongs to a Hindu family, she was trained by Anshu Malik. She completed her studies from Chaudhary Bharat Singh Memorial School Nidan. She had also achieved a gold medal in National School games. She is the first sports person to win a gold medal in World wrestling Championship and has brought grace and pride to India.
