Priyanka Chopra denies reports of flouting COVID-19 lockdown norms by visiting Salon in London with mom Madhu Chopra

Actress Priyanka Chopra who is residing in London along with her husband Nick Jonas reportedly flouted COVID norms just to get a haircut. Going by various reports,  Priyanka visited a salon with her mother Madhu Chopra, and pet Diana. The actress was attending an appointment at the Josh Wood Colour salon in Notting Hill.  Soon after her visit, the police were alerted of the COVID-19 lockdown regulation breach and reached the place to give a verbal reminder to the owner. However, no fine was imposed. 

Now, Priyanka Chopra spokesperson has refuted such reports. Metro.co.uk quoted Priyanka Chopra's spokesperson who said, "The salon was opened privately for the production and everyone involved had been tested and followed both the DCMS working guidelines and the film production regulations. As I am sure you are aware, Film and TV production is permitted to continue in the UK, and locations can continue to accommodate shoots and recces that are carried out in-line with government guidelines. The exemption paperwork legally permitting her to be there was provided to the police, and they left satisfied."

 The UK is under a complete lockdown, possibly till mid-February, in order to curb the more infectious new strain of coronavirus. The regulations also state that ‘personal care services’, including spas and salons, must be close.
